Running to raise rands
“Running is not easy, but it definitely has its benefits”, says Nonhlanhla, a staff member at our community services programme. Nonhlanhla started running to lose weight initially, but now she does it as a sport and to give back to the less fortunate. Working at AKB has shown her that many of our beneficiaries have very little and she decided to turn her passion for running into an opportunity to raise funds for our children. She has done a few marathons for AKB and just recently completed the Soweto Marathon in aid of our children’s sport development. Thank you Nonhlanhla for using your passion for running to help the children in our care!
