A Non-Profit Organisation With Its Eye on a Brighter Future
South Africa is a beautiful, problematic, hopeful, troubled, and complex country. We have some of the most amazing people found anywhere on earth. We have natural resources that are the envy of other nations. Talent abounds and creativity is in large supply. Yet, we also have one of the largest wealth inequality gaps in the world, and poverty affects approximately 55.5% of the population, or 30.3 million people. This does not bode well for a prosperous future. As a single non-profit organisation, Abraham Kriel Bambanani can’t change the world for all of these people, but we’re doing what we can to empower affected children to build a better future.
To achieve this, it is our aim to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for children in need. This stretches way beyond being a place of refuge only. Our non-profit organisation aims to provide shelter, physical care, rehabilitation, and skills development for beneficiaries who have been subjected to trauma, abuse, molestation, poverty, neglect, and unemployment. We do this by including residential care, community services, and educational programmes in our service offering.
This is not something we can do alone.
As the well-known African proverb states, it takes a village to raise a child. For children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment, we all need to work together to create the necessary support structure.
With this in mind, our non-profit organisation has expanded our support to include education and childhood development, as well as HIV/AIDS care and support. However, none of this would have been possible without the support of the broader South African community – people like you.
As a non-profit organisation we are dependent on the generosity of individuals and local businesses. This support can take multiple forms – financial support, providing services or products, or even donating time and expertise.
The truth is that tackling a societal problem like childhood poverty and homelessness might seem insurmountable, but when we band together, we can do absolutely incredible things. Every contribution helps. In fact, a donation of as little as R150 can help us feed, clothe and provide educational materials to a child.
To find out more about the work our non-profit organisations does – and how you can get involved to help make a difference – get in touch with the team at Abraham Kriel Bambanani. We’re happy to share more about the work that we do, and to welcome more supporters of this cause into our family.
